Week 3
The Banana Powered Path
Get active with the Fyffes Fittest School competition! Follow the path of warm-ups, workouts, challenges, and cool-downs to earn banana points and power up your fitness journey! A lesson plan for each week will be available to download below. There are videos for each step and exercise for the week below for you and your class to follow.
For Minute Madness we are going to exercise for 30 seconds and have 30 seconds rest. Every minute you begin again and try to get as many rounds in as possible in the 30 seconds. A new set of Minute Madness exercises will be posted here every week.
Only one submission per school, per week is required - even if multiple classes are taking part. We suggest nominating a teacher who will take responsibility for submitting weekly on behalf of the school.
All submissions are monitored, and to keep things fair, any points gained from additional submissions will be deducted from your overall banana points score. If submitting a photo, you must do so at the same time as submitting exercises.

County Cork’s Ballyhass National School has been crowned Fyffes Ireland’s Fittest School 2025, following an outstanding performance in a nationwide fitness initiative involving hundreds of schools from across Ireland, both north and south.

County Waterford’s St. Mary’s Touraneena National School has been crowned ‘Ireland’s Fittest School 2024’
Following their participation in a three-month competition, in which hundreds of schools from all over Ireland took part, St. Mary’s Touraneena National School went on to win the live ‘grand final’ in which the top four schools in this year’s competition featured.
